AMH Insurance is a specialist insurance intermediary and has been established since 1983. Our service includes advising you on your insurance needs, arranging cover with insurers to meet your requirements and helping you with ongoing changes you have to make.

Additionally, as part of our service we will assist you with any claim you need to make under your policy but Uninsured Loss Recovery is a separate product and may be purchased separately.

Charges

In addition to the premium charged by the insurers we normally make the following charges to cover the administration of your insurance.

1. Admin-Fee - charged at your inception and at renewal. Usually £15.00 but this is variable.
2. Cancellation - 15% of the rebate allowable or £25.00 whichever is greater.
3. Policy Amendment - £25.00.
4. Return Cheque Charge - £10.00 (This will also apply if a cheque is re-presented for payment)
5. Recorded Delivery Charge - £2.50
6. Instalment Charge - £20.00

The specific amount and purpose of any additional charges will always be advised to you in advance.

We accept payment by cash, guaranteed cheque or Debit/Credit card. Alternatively, you may be able to spread your payments through insurers installment schemes. Full information regarding payment options will be given when we discuss your insurance in detail.

Our permitted business is the advising, arranging, administering and assisting in the performance of all types of Non Investment (Life) Insurance Contracts.

Customers duty to give Information

It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to insurers when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the life of your policy and when you renew your insurance. It is important that you insure that all statements you make on proposal forms, claim forms and other documents are full and accurate.

Please note that if you fail to disclose any material information to your insurers this could invalidate your insurance cover and may mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid.

Confidentiality

All personal information about you will be treated as private and confidential. We will only use and disclose information we have about you in the normal course of arranging and administering your insurance. Information will not be disclosed to any other parties.

From time to time we may use information we hold about you to provide details of other products and services which we feel may be appropriate to you. If you do not wish to receive marketing information from us please write to us confirming your instructions.

Under the Data Protection act 1998 you have the right to see personal information about you that we hold on our records.

Complaints Procedures

If you wish to register a complaint please contact us in writing at AMH Insurance Consultants Ltd, 135 High Street, Brownhills, Walsall, WS8 6HG or by phone on 01543 370304. If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Financial Services Compensation Scheme

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit.

For compulsory classes of insurance, insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the claim, without any upper limit.
